I was seen by Mr Camilleri for the first time on April 18th 2023 and I found him very knowledgeable in his field and easy to converse with. He let me give him the facts of my health issues and then, he went through some detailed examination both verbally and physically. He covered every aspect of what I needed to know and plenty more additionally At the end of my examination, he summarised all the facts including some other potential issues that may be present in my condition and has arranged for a follow up consultation in May. A thoroughly professional consultant

I started training in rheumatology as a part of my general medical training at The Royal London Hospital and Newham General Hospital between 1987 and 1989. During this time I obtained a clinical fellowship for two years research into experimental treatments for inflammatory arthritis.

I was appointed Consultant Rheumatologist in 1995 and worked in the East Glamorgan and Llwynpia Hospitals before relocating to Cardiff and Vale Healthboard where I worked as a consultant for 22 years. My training background includes diagnosis and treatment of rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, sports related injuries and soft tissue rheumatism. My main special interest is in connective tissue diseases and paediatric rheumatology.
